Following a healthy diet that’s rich in whole foods, such as fruits and vegetables, is vital to staving off cardiovascular disease and ensuring that the heart is functioning properly. Any type of exercise is good exercise, even if it means lifting small weights at home from the bed or a chair. Exercise has been linked countless times to better heart health, so the more exercise that one gets, the stronger the heart will be.

Serious diseases, such as pneumonia, can have a serious impact on the health of the heart, and it’s important to try and avoid contracting these kinds of infections as much as possible.
